To help us do this we need people like you, with the desire to play your part in making the world a safer place.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><b>SALARY: Upto \u00a345K dependent on experience <\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>31 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays<\/li>\n<li>Company vehicle<\/li>\n<li>Company pension<\/li>\n<li>Employee Referral Scheme (\u00a31000 per hire)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Goals and Objectives: <\/b><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>To be part of the Quantity Surveying team working on commercial aspects of a portfolio of design and build projects of a gross value of circa \u00a3500k to \u00a34 million.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>The candidate will be expected to regularly work from site.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><b>Responsibilities:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Administration of the Main Contract(s) including assisting with Project Control information, Change Management and cash collection<\/li>\n<li>Administration of the Subcontract Agreements holistically under the portfolio, including execution of the project subcontract strategy<\/li>\n<li>Assist with providing an advisory service regarding various standard forms of agreement (including JCT, NEC etc.) to ensure that best practices are adopted and implemented throughout the project life span including inception, delivery and close out<\/li>\n<li>Assist in development and responsibility for Subcontract procurement and negotiation of all Subcontract Scope of Works and terms and conditions<\/li>\n<li>Assist with the commercial management of all subcontract works \u2013 NEC (plus all other standard forms and Options)<\/li>\n<li>Managing Change, including valuing change and agreeing value consequences to Subcontractors<\/li>\n<li>Attending monthly valuation meeting with client(s) and subcontractor(s)<\/li>\n<li>Submitting financial and strategic reports (CVR, Cash Flows, Cost Plans, etc.) and project control data to the Contracts Director<\/li>\n<li>Be party to the adjudication of contract disputes with Subcontractors and Customers alike<\/li>\n<li>Develop commercial awareness of subcontractors and project staff through life of project<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Experience:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree Qualified in Quantity Surveying<\/li>\n<li>Experience in business processes with a \u201chands-on\u201d approach, sharing and enacting best practice<\/li>\n<li>Experience in assisting with the Administration of Contracts in both Client and Subcontract<\/li>\n<li>Experience in influencing and management of confrontational and difficult situations in a professional manner<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This opportunity would suit a Quantity Surveyor who lives within commutable distance of East Kilbride or Glasgow.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>#LI-BW1<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":6614,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"inline_featured_image":false},"country":[2],"class_list":["post-6784","job_posting","type-job_posting","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","country-united-kingdom"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v25.2 -
